Orienteering in augmented reality using Google Cardboard.
The Cardboard Orienteering demo app shows how augmented reality can be used in the orienteering sport by overlaying virtual control points in the real-time camera image.
You can use either a two-eyes view to use with Google Cardboard, or a single-eye view if you don't have a Google Cardboard.
You can either select to use a course created by the app 'GPS Orienteering' or let the app generate 5 random virtual control points near your current position.
A compass is shown at the bottom of the screen. Initialize the compass sensor by pointing the phone up towards the sky and move it in a figure 8 motion.
Note! Remove the magnetic ring from Google Cardboard, otherwise it will disturb the compass sensor.
